Have you ever felt like your mom??

Well I caught myself thinking today of my mom.
As I was simmering my homemade chicken soup and making homemade rolls, I stood there thinking of my mom....She makes the best soup and rolls. It is a funny moment when your mom is suddenly you!

(First and foremost, I know it is 110 outside, but we all are sick with a cold so we needed homemade chicken soup!)

I was listening to my kids complain about homemade soup and I was telling them "when I was little"...you know how those stories go!!

Well I did have a little dejavue (ok I am not sure how to spell that!) Here is my food that I must say I was proud of. It isn't as good as my moms though. PS-Thanks mom!!

Happy Birthday Briana!!

Briana turned the big 1 on Tuesday! We love Briana!! She lightens the room whenever she comes in. She is such a sweet baby and we would be lost without her!! The one thing I won't forget about her is what a daddy's girl she is. She loves her dad!
Happy Birthday Bri!!

She had fun in her cake! The kids helped her get into it I think!

Jer hosed her off after. She actually loved it. It was so funny. No tears, just laughs.
Then the slip and slide. She isn't afraid. Water is her thing!

Already a lady. She just carefully looked at this one.

Hidden Talent

Here is some hidden talent that Mady was showing us. Just wanted to share!!

Our trip to Montana!!

We had a great trip to Montana this year. The first day we went to the lake. It was short, but we had fun. We just wish there was no such thing as mosquito's!!

We had an eventful day with the Davis's. The whole family was there excepts Kirt! It was pretty neat to see everyone. The only thing was it was a long day! We spent the day at the High School gym in Twin Bridges Montana. The kids did great and still had a ball. For the 4th we rode horses, ate and had a great fireworks show. The kids loved it and if I remember right they slept well that night.

Then it was off to the Mountains. We went to Elk Horn with my family. We really like it there and the kids had remembered so much of it from last time we went. We went to Crystal Park and dug for crystals. Again those darn mosquito's!! We were more prepared this year and had tools! It was fun. We went swimming at the hot springs, went on a hike to a lake and had hail! It was pretty neat actually. The hail was the size of the top of a water bottle or larger. We went fishing and even did a few geocaches. We went back to Dillon and rode horses again. Madelyn really got into it this year. Alright I haven't saddled a horse in a while, but I did this trip! I also taught Mady how to ride the barrels. She thinks she is going to ride in the rodeo this year. We'll see! Kaden and Kaly loved it too. Jer helped dad move pipe and whatever else he needed, but don't worry there was still time for golf. My mom took the kids to the movie, the kids loved it, hopefully mom did too! Anyways thanks mom and dad the trip was great. It really made our summer!

Summer Fun

We have had a fun summer. It seems to go by too fast though. Our kids start school in 2 weeks!! It seems too quick. We have had fun geocaching and going to the sprinkler parks, hanging out with friends and family, swim lessons, and more. Sorry for the "no blogging". I am not going to promise to do better because I never seem to do better, but if time permits I will try to post!!
