Spring......

Well Spring is here and I am worried summer will be here as soon as next week! Just wanted to share some fun planting that has been done or going to do....

Our garden so far we have peas, onions, carrots, raddishes, potatoes. You can see they have come up a ways. We are excited! We are planting this week tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, squash, cucumbers, strawberries, and beans.

These are our soon to be peaches.

I planted all my flowers in my pots.

Donuts anyone?

Do you like Krispy Kreme....Well I have a recipe for you. I have a friend here that showed this to me so I can't take credit, but it is so good that I had to share. You buy the WALMART brand of biscuits. Put a hole in them, I use a medicine cup for the kids. Then fry them up (the holes too!) Dip them in a glaze and wala......wonderful donuts. I remember making donuts with my mom as a kid. These do not taste like hers, but they are really close and tons easier. Give it a try!

Easter

These are some pictures of our easter this year. Jeremy's family came and we had a good time. I does wear me out though! We never seem to have time to catch up. The easter bunny brought the kids backpacks to go geocaching. They are pretty excited about them. We have already put them to use.

All the cousins (except 2 didn't make it) and Aunt Shantelle and Aunt Kalicia.
Eggs, Easter egg hunting, the letter from the easter bunny.
We took them all geocaching a couple times. I think it was a hit. Plus it was fun to go with others to share the prizes.
We hope everyone had a great Easter!

Bows!!

Ok, why is it when I post I post a month at a time....someday I will get better at this. I am not making any promises though. I had some friends over a couple of weeks ago to make bows. I wanted to show the results. We had a great time. I am so blessed here to have such great friends. We truly love it here!

Young Women's Fun

We had a fun night at Young Women's last night. We did a service scavenger hunt. It was cute. I went with 3 of the girls and we ran from place to place! Well one of the services was to stop at a gas station and wash someone's window. Well I had one girl who was fearful of this. The first gas station had no one filling up..........crazy! This cute girl said, "I think there is a reason for that. I am not feeling good about this one service." The second had 1 car only.........she says it is even a guy..........I told her not to worry I will ask him so no one would have to worry. This was the cute reply, "Um...Don't take this wrong, but you look just like us. NOt a leader. Is that really going to help." Ok, I couldn't stop laughing after I got home. To finish the story 2 girls jumped out and we asked if we could clean his window. He said sure, a little confused why...and then signed off our service!

We had a great time. I love these girls!!

Girls' first aprons!

On Monday the kids still were out of school for spring break so we decided to do a sewing project. Kaly has been dying for me to teach her how to sew for awhile. So we did some straight stitches. It was fun, but the attention span wasn't long, and well mom couldn't handle it not sewn right!! They did great and here are some pics of the final product!!

Kaly's apron......I copied it from a friend who had a vintage one. I thought it was so cute!

Madelyn's apron, it still needs the pockets, but she was done so that is alright!
